Silverfish, or Lepisma saccharina, are small, silvery insects that move very quickly, are harmless, and reproduce easily. Below we explain how to get rid of these insects permanently.
The first trick is to put lavender oil in the favorite corners of these insects. The scent of lavender repels silverfish.
You can also place lavender sachets in every corner of your house. You can add a few drops of essential oil to enhance the scent even more. A couple of days will be enough to stop seeing these annoying insects.
Another very effective trick is to make a real trap for silverfish. Pour oatmeal into a jar, which you then tape shut. The starch in the oatmeal will attract the insects, which will climb into the jar but will not be able to get out again, sliding down the glass.
