“Harrison Blackwell signed this document nine days before his hospitalization. Two independent physicians certified his mental competence. The signing was witnessed and recorded.”
Vivian crossed her arms.
“Get to the distribution.”
Samuel began with charitable donations and employee funds.

“To my sons, Grant and Lucas, I leave equal beneficiary trusts providing annual income, healthcare coverage and educational support for their children.”

“To my daughter, Vivian, I leave an equivalent trust, provided she does not interfere with the administration of my estate or harass my surviving spouse and child.”

“What child? That pregnancy has not even been independently verified.”
“It has,” Samuel said. “The laboratory report is included.”
He continued.
“Any beneficiary who contests the marriage, the parentage of the child, or the validity of this will shall immediately forfeit all distributions. The forfeited share will be transferred to the Blackwell Employee Relief Foundation.”
Vivian stood.
“He wrote that because she manipulated him.”
Samuel did not raise his voice.
“Your father wrote that because he anticipated your reaction.”

“The Roland Park residence, all personal property within it, sixty percent of the voting shares of Blackwell Hospitality Group, and the remainder of the estate pass to my wife, Claire Blackwell.”
The chair behind Vivian struck the wall.
“No.”
“Mrs. Blackwell will serve as controlling shareholder with a professional advisory board for a minimum of three years. Grant will retain his executive role. Lucas will retain his current holdings. Vivian may remain on the board only if Mrs. Blackwell and the independent directors approve.”
“This company belonged to my mother!”
“Harrison addressed that,” Samuel said.
