Rich and Creamy Potatoes au Gratin

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. Grease a baking dish with butter, then rub it with minced garlic for extra flavor.
3. Layer the sliced potatoes evenly in the dish.
4. Season each layer with salt, pepper, and a sprinkle of cheese.
5. Repeat the layers until all the potatoes are used.
6. In a bowl, mix the cream, milk, and nutmeg, then pour over the potatoes.
7. Top with the remaining cheese.
8. Bake for 45–60 minutes, until golden and bubbly on top.

 Tips:

• For extra creaminess, use more cream and less milk.
• For a lighter version, increase the milk and reduce the cream.
• Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving so it sets nicely.
